SVS recently introduced its Micro 3000 Subwoofer and I’m fortunate to be one of the first to review it.

SVS Micro 3000 Subwoofer

With dual active and opposed 8-inch woofers, and a newly designed 800-watt RMS (2,500-watt peak) Sledge STA-800D2 amplifier with discrete MOSFET output, this small sub has some serious kick to it. It can be fine-tuned to almost any room with the SVS subwoofer control smartphone app for advanced tuning and DSP. It comes in a 10-layer gloss coating of piano black or white and the roughly 10-inch cube can easily disappear in a music room or home theater with an option to go wireless.

Though my initial thoughts were how similar this little sub looked to a Bob Carver design, the truth is that the Micro 3000 is another creature altogether. The two active drivers belt out deep bass and the cabinet remains completely stable and vibration-free. It’s almost uncanny! Look for my full review here in a few weeks after I dust off some of my old pipe organ CDs and Super Hero movies.
