Italian speaker maker Sonus faber recently updated their popular Olympica loudspeaker line to what they now call the Olympica Nova.

The Sonus faber Olympica Nova I is the smallest model in the new line, comprised of seven speakers, which I saw and heard firsthand at this past RMAF. Having heard how the big Nova V sounded at the show, I was curious to see how the “baby” of the group would fare when challenged with a larger listening space. The company was all to happy to oblige, sending me a pair of Olympica Nova I, finished in a lovely walnut veneer, along with a pair of custom stands.

It’s not a stretch to say that these are some of the prettiest and most nicely put together speakers that I have come across. And for the $6500.00 per pair asking price (not including stands) they should be. But is their beauty only skin deep? Will their sound satisfy, on par with their aesthetics? Look for a complete review, with measurements, to appear on the Secrets website in the near future.
