The 826 is the largest tower in the Chora speaker line. They feature a one-inch aluminum/magnesium inverted dome tweeter and three 6.5-inch Slatefiber woofers (one midrange, two bass) with a frequency response rated from 48-28kHz (±3dB) in a front-ported bass-reflex design. A magnetic grill covers everything but the port and the tweeter.

At 53 pounds each, these speakers have a unique feature. A geometrically angled plinth tilts them, so the tweeter is pointed up toward the listener’s ears. Because the base of the speaker juts a few inches more forward, it also gives the speaker a “floating off the floor” appearance which is quite striking. Like many European speaker designs, they also come in three different colors so matching them to your personal taste and décor is made easier. Sensitivity is rated at 91dB with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, so almost any receiver or amplifier can drive them. At $999 each, even audiophiles on a budget can now sample some of the sonic delights from the company that also makes the award-winning $120,000 (each) Grande Utopia EM Evo speakers.
