During that time, they have built a reputation for creating speakers that are considered some of the best that money can buy. Their EPICON series features a variety of proprietary loudspeaker innovations such as SMC technology which has as its design goal lower third harmonic distortion and low loss surrounds. Even though the EPICON series is not inexpensive, they are known to be competitive with speakers which sell for a lot more money.

In the OBERON series, DALI has brought a lot of technology from the EPICON line into a series of very affordable speakers. The OBERON 9 towers stand at the top of the OBERON lineup and present a formidable challenge to the world of high-value speakers. They stand almost four feet tall and use solid engineering to bring to the audio world the type of dynamics that normally require a much greater investment than the $2,500 per pair DALI charges for these speakers.

Look for a full review of these talented reproducers of music in the near future. I’ll be throwing a lot at these speakers, including a full range response curve and measured distortion from 20 to 20,000Hz at a high level of SPL.
