Right when you thought the franchise had been played out and there was no more left in the tank, the film pops up. It’s nice to see Hamilton reprise her role, but Arnold coming back as a T-800 that completes his mission and re-programs himself to be a husband and father was weird. The whole film felt like de ja vu all over again. If everyone can play with Time, then this stuff could just go on indefinitely, right? Now THAT’S what I call Dark Fate! The possibility of this film being rehashed endlessly. In fairness, Arnold does utter the words (humorously), “I won’t be back” …so there is that. The action is pretty much what you would expect and not all of the CGI works when the fisticuffs begin, but the movie provides some mindless entertainment for a few hours. Can we put this adventure to bed yet, already?

Picture quality varies from very good to excellent. Sound is loud and all-encompassing so be prepared to turn it down if the neighbors are asleep. If anything is loose in your theater, the sub will reveal it. DV gives the picture plenty of pop and dazzling colors.
