Because this movie is shot in the perspective of a first person shoot ‘em up, I had to watch this over 3 different nights. Why? I’m getting old. More specifically, it made me nauseous. Not that it wasn’t a fun movie, but like a wild amusement ride my stomach could only take so much abuse. Your perspective throughout the film if from a Go-Pro camera on a stunt mans forehead.

And what stunts! Explosions, knives, guns, rocket launchers, hand to hand combat, motorcycle chases…it’s all in here. I have seen other movies based on video games before, but this one really is unique. The plot is silly, of course, but the movie is non-stop and who has time to be weighed down with something like a plotline. To see this movie is to experience this movie. If you are used to video games, you might not need the Dramamine.
Considering the Go-Pro camera work, the picture quality is actually pretty good. Colors are good and the contrast, especially in the darker scenes is quite good as well. Sound is bold, not only with special effects and surround sounds, but the Rock-n-Roll tracks are in your face and help to jack up your adrenaline. I did notice a few of the CGI explosions looked a bit fake, especially the RPG scene in the hallway. Overall, I’ll forgive them for that though, because the rest of the action is impressive.
