I admit that this installment is better than any of the previous 7 films, but unless you are a pre-teen, your mind will grow numb after the first 20 minutes. To its credit, the action sequences are a lot less frenetic than the other movie by Michael Bay, the story line actually made some modicum of sense, the tie-in of both Charlie and Bumblebee being outcasts and somewhat like misfits was interesting, but the portrayal of the military as fools and the Decepticons as evil villains was cliché. Just for once, I’d like to see a Transformer turn into a street sweeper of garbage truck. No one would see that disguise coming! Eight movies is enough for anybody. Since we are reliving Saturday morning cartoons, who is up for a live action remake of Wacky Racers? Just me?

Bumblebee 4k Review

Technical

Once again the UHD version smashes the BD version with better contrast and sharper color and details. Sound wise, the movie delivers on all fronts with massive explosions and super deep bass rumbles. Dialog is very clear…but why do Transformers grunt when they get punched? Do they have lungs?
