Page 50 - More Pioneer

Pioneer was showing the first receivers to offer booth XM and Sirius radio options. The receivers can either use the $49 SC-H1 SiriusConnect antenna or the $49 XM Connect & Play antenna to receive satellite radio broadcasts and for the true satellite radio junkie you can connect booth if you want to. The VSX-817 ($299) and the VSX-917V ($399) will be available in April and VSX-1017TXV ($TBD) will be available in July.

Pioneer was also showing their next generation plasma technology against one of their current screens. This new technology is said to have "immeasurable contrast" and 80% less light at full black. From the demo the blacks certainly looked much darker, which is always a step in the right direction. Displays with this technology will start to become available this summer.
