Page 2 - Optoma and Olevia
I finally got my first taste of the show floor at CES. I began in the South Hall, lower level, where there were lots of Home Theater specific technologies on display. This area didn't have most of the big companies like Sony or Toshiba; rather, it showcased smaller and medium-sized companies. Olevia, one of the price/performance leaders in display devices, showed off their 1080p HDTVs. They also had their LED backlit models. Optoma's 720p HD73 DLP projector. This one should be a top performer in the highly competitive 720p arena. Here is the 1080p DLP HD81. They had a dedicated theater room set up to demonstrate the HD81's capabilities. I am not sure what the clip was, nor did I care for it very much, but there was no denying the quality of the image. Go to CES 2007 Show Report Index.
