Ray Kimber had a huge room in which he had installed four sets of electrostatic panels. Each set consisted of three 10 foot tall electrostatic speakers. The three speakers were arranged in an arc. You can see the front two sets in the photo above. They were being driven by Pass amplifiers.

Ray demonstrated his four-channel recordings that he makes by using an array of four microphones placed within a few feet of each other, but separated by sound absorbing panels.

The cost of this setup is about $300,000.
