Sanyo PLV-Z4 Three-Panel 16:9 LCD Digital Projector

Part III

February, 2006

John E. Johnson, Jr.

The Setting menu consists of three pages, and this is where you select the projector position, such as on the ceiling or table top. You also adjust the Keystone here, and open the Advanced Menu.

The Setting menu, Page 1.

The Setting menu, Page 2.

The Setting menu, page 3.

The Information menu shows the lamp burn time.

In the Advanced Menu, selected from Page 1 of the Setting menu, you can turn on Auto Black Stretch, Contrast Enhancement, and Transient Improvement, all of which are video processing options that you just need to try out and see if you like them.

On Page 2 of the Advanced Menu, you can fine tune the Red, Green, and Blue output using Gain, Offset, and Gamma. These items are in the Advanced Menu, because they are really for professional calibration, rather than for consumers to play around with. However, if you have a color measuring instrument, you can change them yourself.
