Paradigm In-Wall speakers

“Our design team enjoyed the challenge of producing in-wall speakers that perform at very close to the same level as our award-winning floorstanding and bookshelf models,” said Paradigm’s Marketing Manager, Mark Aling. “Their performance is a stunning testament to the progress in-wall speakers have made in the custom installation category, and we’re very pleased that Paradigm is at the forefront of this incredible acoustic evolution.”

Fully Integrated Design

The SIG-LCR 5 system is designed for those who crave no-compromise cutting-edge sound within a minimalist aesthetic. A recent addition to the newly introduced Signature Custom Series, its six state-of-the-art drivers offer the ultimate in high-end sound for music and home theater, including the most serious output levels yet from a speaker system installed in a wall.

The 4-driver SA-LCR 3 is a unique addition to Paradigm’s very popular “Reference” SA Series. It is designed for music and movie enthusiasts who demand the award-winning level of performance delivered by freestanding Paradigm® Reference Studio speakers, but want their sound to fit a minimalist aesthetic. Just like its even more powerful sibling, the SIG-LCR 5, the SA-LCR 3 is ideal for those who, for purely practical reasons, don’t have the space for larger freestanding models but refuse to compromise on sound quality.

Both speaker systems offer fully integrated designs that are critically braced by the corresponding Paradigm® backbox (required, sold separately).

Why a Backbox?

– The Paradigm® Backbox is required support for the speaker mounting frame and baffle assembly;

– In concert with Paradigm’s IMS/SHOCK-Mount„ system, which is incorporated into both speakers, the rigid high-strength design of the backbox removes any opportunity for unwanted resonances or standing waves to color sound;

– The backbox ensures optimal volume, improves overall sound quality and promotes deep bass response while reducing distortion to inaudible levels;

– Since these are very high-power designs, the backbox also helps reduce acoustic bleed-through to adjacent rooms.

The Ultimate in Placement Flexibility

Three LCR speakers can be positioned vertically in a wall behind a perforated screen, or all three can be placed around an on-wall display with the center channel installed into the wall horizontally. When used in a horizontal orientation, the tweeter/midrange module in both models can be rotated 90° prior to installation. This ensures ultra-wide dispersion both on- and off-axis, as well as precise timber matching””a hallmark of all freestanding Paradigm® Reference Signature and Studio speakers. The precision and accuracy of the unified tweeter/midrange drive assembly and the sophisticated “Reference” crossover design ensure this rotation does not compromise the dispersion pattern between drivers and baffle, thereby preserving sonic integrity.
