January 2, 2014 – Dallas, TX – The Sound Organisation, North American importer and distributor of European Audio products, announces a new turntable and CD/DAC from Rega debuting at CES 2014.

Rega RP10 Turntable

The RP10 Turntable is Rega Research’s latest engineering triumph, integrating newly developed features while remaining true to Rega’s signature design philosophy and the company’s hallmarks of quality and value.

The RP10 features a new, polished aluminum RB2000 tonearm with a tapered one-piece tube designed to reduce resonance and mass by 40% over previous designs. The use of blueprinted zero-tolerance bearing results in unmeasurably low friction. The RB2000 is being shown with Rega’s reference Apheta MC cartridge.

The half-chassis external power supply improves upon their ground breaking anti-vibration circuit. Switchable between 33 and 45 RPM, this power supply offers the ability to fine-tune speed via Rega’s first software-based speed control.

The RP10 features a New ceramic oxide Platter which is compression fired and diamond cut, resulting in improved mating to the hub, greatly reducing resonance over previous designs..

The Plinth is an exoskeletal design with a closed-cell, nitrogen-foamed polyolefin core retained in a stressed phenolic skin. Roy Gandy has pursued a philosophy of low-mass/high rigidity designs for forty years; This exoskeletal construction method yields the best results yet attained in a production turntable.

Unique double bracing between the arm mount and main bearing increases rigidity along this critical plane. Consisting of magnesium upper and phenolic lower braces, this method greatly reduces resonance.

A 24V dual-phase high performance motor features MU shielding that reduces interaction with the cartridge, and a spring-loaded ball bearing spindle support further reduces noise and vibration.

The RP10 Turntable is expected to ship shortly, at an MSRP of $5495.00 USD, or packaged with the $1795.00 Apheta MC cartridge for $6495.00 USD

Rega Saturn-R CD/DAC Player

The Saturn-R CD/DAC player offers complete flexibility to the user. Essentially two products in one, the Saturn-R houses a high specification transport and independent DAC circuit. Both sections are fully remote controllable via the supplied Solaris remote handset. The Saturn-R has two optical inputs, two Co-Axial inputs, 192KHz-24Bit asynchronous USB input and an added ‘direct’ digital output from the CD playback section. This ensures the Saturn-R integrates perfectly into any system and provides the perfect partner for the Rega Elicit-R integrated amplifier.

The Saturn-R CD/DAC player builds on Rega’s proven designs in DAC and output stage technology. Improvements from previous implementations include a new New Wolfson WM8742 DAC, and enhanced output amplifier circuit and digital power supplies. .

The USB input has been improved with asynchronous operation at sample rates of 44.1 to 192 KHz with a bit rate of up to 24bits. The USB input has the same galvanic isolation as used in the Rega DAC. The Saturn-R USB input uses dedicated drivers, enabling full ASIO operation, thus eliminating signal degradation caused by generic Windows Based Drivers.

The Saturn-R is shipping now at an MSRP of $2,995.00 USD.

Rega/PMC – Venetian Room 30-234

In addition to the new RP10 and Saturn-R experience the new Aria MM/MC Phono Stage, and Elicit-R Amplifier. This all new Rega system will be driving the new PMC Fact 12 Loudspeakers.

Borne out of PMC’s successful professional studio use, the consumer loudspeakers are a direct reflection garnering numerous awards including What Hi-Fi Editor’s Choice 20012 and 2013.

DALI – Venetian Room 30-233

DALI’s 31-year dedication to loudspeaker design is evident with the newly-received EISA Best Product Award of 2013-2014 for the Kubik Wireless Speaker System, as well as Epicon and Helicon receiving TAS 2014 Editor’s Choice Awards. Representatives direct from the DALI facility in Denmark will demonstrate the Kubik, Fazon, Zensor and Epicon series of Loudspeakers.
