GoldenEar Technology to Demonstrate Super Invisa® Stealth Home Theater Architectural System at CEDIA Expo 2013

(September 23, 2013 – Denver, CO) GoldenEar is pleased to announce that this year’s CEDIA EXPO demonstration (Sound Room SR 6) will include, for the first time ever, a major Invisa in-ceiling/in-wall home theater system. The system will include three Invisa Home Theater Reference (HTR) 7000 in-ceiling speakers, two Invisa MultiPolar MPX in-wall/in-ceiling speakers, and two ForceField 5 Ultra-High-Powered Subwoofers. This system is designed to deliver the same superb sonic performance as GoldenEar’s award-winning free-standing loudspeakers, but in a built-in format. In all respects, including three-dimensional imaging, high-definition resolution, extremely extended frequency response, effortless dynamic range, room shaking bass and remarkable high-frequency extension, this is an extraordinary system that is hidden, but speaks with an authoritatively state-of-the-art voice.

GoldenEar Technology Invisa® HTR 7000s

The Invisa HTR 7000 is designed for use as a ceiling-mounted main front stage left-, right- or center-channel speaker in high-quality home theater and music systems, as well as for use as a side or rear surround speaker. It has a flat, round or square, magnetically attached micro-perf grille that covers the mounting flange for an attractive, nearly “invisible” look. The drivers are mounted at precisely calculated angles so that they face the normal listening position for exceptional imaging, superior frequency response, remarkable clarity and precise focus. The driver complement combines the same superb 7″ high-definition cast-basket driver used in the acclaimed GoldenEar Aon 3, with one of GoldenEar’s signature technology High Velocity Folded Ribbon tweeters (HVFR™). A complex crossover network, with a high-frequency equalization switch, assures perfect blending. In order to achieve open, boxless, three-dimensional imaging that appears to come from across the front wall rather than the ceiling, great care has been taken to minimize deleterious diffraction effects as well as to optimize wave-launch into the room. This is achieved by utilizing and combining our FocusField™ Technology with a unique Non-Periodic Waveform (NPW) Diffraction Control and Wave-Launch construction.

GoldenEar Technology Invisa® MPX

The Invisa MPX MultiPolar™ In-Wall/In-Ceiling Loudspeaker combines the advantages of a direct-radiating loudspeaker with the enhanced spaciousness and dispersion of a bipolar speaker. This makes them the perfect choice for the rear or side surround channels of a multi-channel installation, as well as for front main speakers or for distributed audio multi-room installations. It can be easily mounted in walls or ceilings and is very flexible in terms of orientation. Like the other Invisa Series speakers, it has a flat magnetically attached micro-perf grille that covers the flange for an attractive, nearly invisible look. It combines two precisely angled spiderleg cast-basket 5″ bass/midrange drivers, a High-Velocity Folded Ribbon Tweeter (HVFR™) and a complex precision crossover network with a high-frequency equalization switch. Like the Invisa HTR 7000, it features GoldenEar’s unique Non-Periodic Diffraction Control and Wave-Launch technology for enhanced clarity and source-less sound radiation into the room.

GoldenEar Technology ForceField 5 High-Power Subwoofer

GoldenEar’s award-winning ForceField subwoofers have been engineered from the ground up to combine subtle musical detail with earth-shaking high-impact power; all in attractive, compact enclosures which blend well into any environment. These seemingly conflicting goals were both brilliantly achieved with a combination of creative thinking and cutting-edge engineering prowess. The resulting response to GoldenEar’s ForceField Subwoofers was simply phenomenal. Their amazing performance has been compared with much larger and more expensive subs. The newest addition to our ForceField subwoofer line-up, the ForceField 5, is an over-the-top, true super-sub.

This extraordinary tour de force subwoofer incorporates advanced technology and innovative design It utilizes a high-power forward-radiating ultra-long-throw12″ sub-bass driver, coupled to a downward-firing 12?¾” x 14?½” quadratic planar infrasonic radiator. This brings together the superior transient response and detail of moderately sized active drivers with the subsonic capability and extraordinary room-filling coupling of large diaphragm radiators. In fact the radiators, in combination with the slot-loading to the floor, approximate the near perfect impedance match to the air of a well-tuned transmission line. This combination is also very flexible in terms of room-placement requirements.

Our unique high-power (1500 Watts!) DSP-controlled Class D digital amplifier has a Programmable Logic Device (PLD) based state machine to perfectly manage functions including: soft clipping, DC offset control, output-stage anti-saturation protection and discrete multi-band limiting. The DSP control also allows for very precise equalization. Intrinsic THD is extremely low, so very little negative feedback is required, thus ensuring optimum transient performance. Lastly, a unique cabinet shape was chosen both for its undeniable aesthetic appeal, as well as its performance enhancing attributes. The non-parallel cabinet walls dramatically cut down and help control internal reflections, as well as stiffen the cabinet structure itself.

Perfect for music and movies, the ForceField 5’s stunning impact, superbly musical bass articulation and breathtaking infrasonic capabilities that can powerfully pressurize a room in a way that leaves listeners breathless. There is a direct-coupled Sub/LFE input as well as L & R speaker-level inputs (5 way binding posts) and 100Hz high-passed L & R speaker-level out (5 way binding posts) as well. In addition, there is an adjustable low pass filter for the speaker-level in as well as a level control.

Specifications:

Dimensions: 15″ W x 18″ D x 14?½” H (height is with feet installed). Frequency Response: 12 Hz – 200 Hz. Driver Complement: One 12″ long-throw high-output bass driver, One 12?¾” x 14?½” quadratic planar infrasonic radiator. Amplifier: 1500-Watt ForceField digital amplifier.
