D&M Holdings Announces Denon and Marantz Leadership Reorganization

MAHWAH, New Jersey, December 10, 2009 — D&M Holdings Inc. today announced a reorganization within its Denon and Marantz brands. Effective immediately Phil Cohn, currently Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing for Marantz and Escient, will take over the Sales and Marketing operations of Denon Electronics and Boston Acoustics, succeeding Joe Stinziano who will be leaving the company to pursue another opportunity. In addition, longtime Marantz executive Kevin Zarow will be promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Marantz America and Escient. “After nearly 3 years of making significant contributions to Denon and D&M Holdings as a whole, Joe Stinziano has decided to pursue a new career opportunity and we wish him great success in his new venture,” said Bob Weissburg, President D&M Sales and Marketing, North America. “D&M has an experienced management team that will help to make this a seamless transition. Phil Cohn is a seasoned executive and has assumed many roles at D&M Holdings, including VP of Sales and Marketing for Boston Acoustics. With his strong leadership skills and proven record, Phil will assume this position and continue the positive momentum the Boston and Denon brands are experiencing. Kevin Zarow has been a critical part of the Marantz team for more than 15 years and has an intimate knowledge of the brand and its customers. With his passion for high-end audio and video, expertise in strategic product planning and extensive knowledge of the industry, we are confident in Kevin’s ability to take Marantz to a high level of success.”

Phil is a 20-year industry veteran with expertise in strategic sales planning and channel management. He has been instrumental in developing new processes and business strategies for the Marantz, Escient and Boston brands. He previously held a number of strategic sales and management roles with Sony Electronics and Samsung Electronics. He holds a B.S. and an MBA in Marketing from Rutgers University in New Jersey

Kevin Zarow joined Marantz in 1991 and has worked his way up to Director of Marketing and most recently was Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for Marantz and Escient. He has helped build the Marantz brand from a strictly audio company to one of the leading luxury home entertainment brands. Before joining Marantz, Kevin was a regional product specialist at Philips. He has a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University.
