Axpona Returns To The Chicago Area April 21-23, 2017 Offering The Latest Equipment And Education In High-end Audio

ROSEMONT, IL (January 31, 2017) – AXPONA (Audio Expo North America) returns to the Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, IL, April 21-23, 2017, offering music lovers and audiophiles, three jam-packed days of incredible sounds, technology, presentations, design, and the very latest products in the industry. Now in its eighth year, AXPONA is the defining high-end consumer audio show in the United States. AXPONA will once again offer something for everyone – from the novice music lover to the seasoned audio expert looking to enhance their sound with the latest technology.

The eighth annual AXPONA event will once again feature the best of the best in high-end audio equipment and gear giving music lovers the opportunity to enjoy the very best in sound in more than 125 Listening Rooms. Attendees are encouraged to experience listening rooms by sitting, listening and comparing the superbly designed, high performance systems and components from some of the world’s most prestigious manufacturers. In all, more than 400 manufacturers, retailers and brands will gather at AXPONA, including Aaudio Imports, Audio-Technica, Bang & Olufsen, ELAC, Magico, LLC, Chord, Pass Laboratories all of whom will showcase the newest high-end products and services to over 6,000 attendees. 

AXPONA 2017 will also feature pavilion areas, compelling lectures, and live concerts that continue to thrill and entice attendees:

The ever-popular Ear Gear Expo, which features the latest headphones and associated equipment in the growing world of mobile and high end personal listening, sold out with exhibitors expanding into the hallway. Attendees will have the opportunity to plug in and test out headphones from top manufacturers including Schiit Audio, Mr Speakers, Questyle Audio and Audeze. In the Marketplace area, you will find a vast array of turntables, vinyl, SACDS, musical instruments, cables, accessories, racks and stands, turntables, tonearms, and more. Manufacturer representatives will be available to answer questions and meet one-on-one.

AXPONA will offer compelling seminars and lectures from notable industry veterans that will cover a variety of topics to educate and inform audiophiles. Highlights include the Legends of High-End Audio presented by The Absolute Sound featuring top designers and company founders, a lively lecture and demo by AJ van den Hul, founder of Van Den Hul, the iconic cartridge designer who will be building a cartridge live, and the Reviewers View by AV Showrooms to give attendees a sneak peek into the most exciting developments from the show floor. Seminars will tackle a wide range of topics and interests on personal audio, turntables, and reel-to-reel meant to educate and pique everyone’s interests.

Open to the public, AXPONA offers a variety of ticket options for attendees. Early Bird Ticket pricing is available until tickets sell out: One day passes are $20 two day passes are $30; and three Day are $45. Early bird Gold passes are available for $95; industry passes (offering admittance for three days) are $50; and student passes for one day is $10.

The Gold Pass Package is the ultimate AXPONA experience, and includes a collector’s Badge, official AXPONA T-shirt, access to the AXPONA Gold Lounge with VIP check-in, coat check, refreshments and free WiFi, and an exclusive reception for Gold Pass ticket holders on Saturday, April 22 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM featuring a meet & greet with writers from The Absolute Sound. Thanks to the overwhelming interest by students to attend and experience AXPONA, there is an expanded Student Day pass available for any of the three days. A new passport program encourages students to explore the show, and if they complete all the stops they could win prizes including headphones, t-shirts, and vinyl.

All general admission tickets grant access to the exhibits including listening rooms, the Marketplace, Ear Gear Expo (EGX), as well as educational seminars, live concerts, and special events. 

AXPONA will be open Friday and Saturday 10 am – 6 pm; Sunday 10 am – 4 pm.

The Westin O’Hare is located 6100 North River Road. Ample parking is available at the Westin’s main lot and overflow lot for a discounted rate of $10/day for AXPONA attendees and exhibitors.
