RTI's Integration Designer® Software, U2 Weather-Resistant Controller and MRP-64 Multiroom Control Processor, Named as 2010 TechHome Mark of Excellence Award Finalists

SHAKOPEE, Minn. Feb. 25, 2010 Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) today announced that its Integration Designer® programming platform, U2 weather-resistant controller, and MRP-64 multiroom control processor, were named as finalists for the 2010 TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards. Presented by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the awards recognize outstanding achievement and innovation in trend-setting custom home electronics products.

Finalists and winners in each of the TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards categories are chosen by a four-member judging team comprised of systems integrators, manufacturers, members of the trade press, and industry consultants. This year, RTI’s Integration Designer® software, U2, and MRP-64 were chosen as finalists in the categories of “Installation Product of the Year,” “Human Interface Product of the Year,” and “Multiroom Audio Video Product of the Year,” respectively.

We could not be more proud to be named as a finalist in three categories for the prestigious CEA TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “With the increasing interest in accessing more technology in and around the home, the demand for more advanced control solutions continues to grow for consumers and installers alike. We are answering the call with innovative products such as our U2 and MRP-64, and with RTI’s Integration Designer software, we continue to simplify and enhance the programming process.”

RTI’s ground-breaking Integration Designer programming software is a powerful, easy-to-use, Windows®-based software package that allows the entire RTI control system family to be programmed from any PC. Available exclusively to professional integrators, RTI’s proprietary, award-winning software provides a central interface for defining all parameters needed for controlling an entire electronics system.

RTI’s U2 weather-resistant controller sports a completely sealed, durable design to deliver reliable wireless control of A/V systems in harsher environments like the patio, pool, bathroom, or even boats. For outdoor use, the remote control combines the convenience of eight programmable soft buttons with an easy-to-read, high-contrast LCD that can display custom buttons, graphics, and text, even in bright sunlight.

The MRP-64 is a powerhouse control processor that embraces a revolutionary concept in distributed audio by allowing users to take full advantage of the multizone features built into their surround sound receivers. The unique processor acts as an interface between the receiver and an assortment of RTI’s two-way-enabled controllers. For homeowners, this not only means access to all A/V sources throughout the home, but also HVAC, lighting, and security systems, to name a few.

Award winners will be recognized at the Mark of Excellence Awards Reception on Friday, March 26, at the eleventh annual Electronic House Expo (EHX) Spring 2010, in Orlando, Fla.
